L‘Senegal Men’s Men’s Men’s Basketball team is in Pot 1 of the draw for the 2025 Afrobasket planned, Friday, May 9, in Luanda (Angola), we learned from the FIBA regional office for Africa.
The Afrobasket 2025 will take place in Angola from August 12 to 24, with the participation of 16 nations.
Angola (host country), Tunisia (reigning champion), Guinea, Cap-Vert, Libya, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Cameroon, Rwanda, Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Egypt, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali are the most prestigious continent.
Pot 1 of the draw for the African Cup of Nations of male basketball includes in addition to Senegal, the organizing country Angola, the title champion Tunisia and the vice-champion in Côte d’Ivoire.
In Pot 2, there will be South Sudan, Egypt, Nigeria, Cape Verde.
-In Pot 3, we find Cameroon, DRC, Guinea, Mali.
In Pot 3 is Rwanda, Uganda, Libya and Madagascar.
Basketball lions have been looking for a new sacred continental since 1997.
They dominated the eliminations of male Afrobasket in their pool, by making a faultless route with six victories in as many outings.
