“We are going to accompany Florent Pagny on his tour in 2026”

In the United States, it was not until the 21st season, broadcast in the fall of 2021, to see a group win « The Voice » . And if the Trio Girl Named Tom composed of two brothers and their sister had arrived together in the American version of the telecrochet, in France Levon Khozian, Salvatore Livolsi and Sébastien Longhi began alone before being associated by their coach Florent Pagny under the name of Il Cello.

Opposed to Gianni of the Zaz team, Mickaël Gallo at Patricia Kaas and Mega at Vianney, the three voices won 49% of viewers who took the trouble to vote on Saturday evening during the final of season 14 of “The Voice”. They win a contract with Universal to record an album and already have Florent Pagny’s promise to follow him on his next tour.

Le Figaro. – individually, how did you find yourself in this season of “The Voice”?
Sébastien long. – I had a first cast in June 2024 and then, during a date of the tour of “The Voice”, the manager Bruno Berberes asked me to come to Paris to pass the rest of the preselections. By participating in the show, I wanted to confront a jury of professionals and it worked.
Levon Khozian. – For Salvatore and myself, we had a year in the Dalida Institute in Aix-en-Provence in 2024. It is a music school that gives access to the castings of “The Voice” within its premises and we were selected.

What was your artistic project by launching yourself in “The Voice”?
Salvatore Livolsi. – It was really a new personal challenge. It was my second cast, I told myself what I could get there. At each cross stage, new goals are set.
L.K. – I have a fairly marked musical universe. I have always had my double culture, these Armenian influences with my instrument, the Duduk. I came to offer something in that spirit. I knew that I had the ability to sing songs in voice but I had not necessarily come to sing lyric.
Salt. – I am a teacher so my project was not necessarily well defined, even if my passion for music was there. I have always tried to perform on stage and I wanted to try to go further, to trigger something that could lead me to make a career in music.

Have you hesitated before accepting Florent Pagny’s proposal to associate you in a single group?
Salt. – During the group phase, we knew that he could keep one or more of us. But we did not know that he could associate us for the rest of the competition. When he offered to create this trio, we found it logical. It was not an obligation, he knew how to explain his idea to us. The color of our voices goes very well.
L.K. – At the start, we were a little perplexed. We did not expect it at all. Working three and singing three is completely something else. We understood the way it was going to happen since we each had our universe. How were we going to manage to mix our three universes and our three voices? The more the days passed and the more we got into the game. Today, we are proud and happy with the result.
Sa.l. – We wanted to believe in this destiny and on this path that was offered to us to follow. Many planets have lined up so that everything is realized like this.

For you Salvatore, this configuration is not a first since you have long been part of a similar training until 2023, Tre Voce…
Sa.l. – (Laughs.) It is true that I wanted to go solo to offer something else. And today, I find myself again in a trio. I was also very close to my two former partners who are friends. I found the same cohesion with it cello and, once again, nothing happens by chance. I am super proud to be part of this trio and happy to have won “The Voice” together.

What is the program of it cello for the coming months?
There are very beautiful things that are preparing, including our first album. We will move forward step by step, quietly, to do things well. Florent Pagny created us, we want to listen to his vision of things. We will certainly stay in this fairly lyrical, tenor repertoire, with songs in voice. In the immediate future, there is this first single that we sang on Saturday evening, A womanwhich has been on platforms since midnight. And we will accompany Florent Pagny on his tour next year from January to July 2026.
