Launched from January 23 to February 1, 2025, the call for candidates aroused great interest, with 164,772 recorded files. This exceptional recruitment, divided between 1,500 positions for preschool and elementary education and 500 for the general medium and secondary, aimed in particular to enhance experienced profiles and to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities.
After a rigorous phase of analysis and validation, 2,000 candidates were selected: 1,726 for preschool and elementary, and 274 for the medium and secondary. The eligibility criteria focused on professional educational diplomas, teaching experience, and the administrative regularity of files.
The press release reports several cases of elimination, in particular for the absence of a file submission, non -compliant age, or unrecognized diploma. An additional list of 26 candidates was also published in the event of withdrawal.
This recruitment is part of the five-year plan 2024-2029, which provides for the hiring of 30,000 teachers, including 8,000 from 2024 (2,000 by special means and 6,000 per competition). The ministry thus intends to improve the quality of the education system and absorb the deficit in teaching staff nationally.
