FRS Iberia Maroc / DFDS announces that Sunday, May 4, 2025 will mark the end of its activities on the Tangier Ville – Tarifa maritime link. As of May 5, the company will stop operating this line, after 25 years of uninterrupted service.

Since the launch of this link, the company has transported more than 16 million passengers, establishing itself as a major player in mobility between the two banks of the Strait. By introducing the first regular fast ferry service on this line, the company transformed travel habits between Morocco and Spain, by proposing the fastest crossing between Africa and Europe.

Frs Iberia Morocco / DFDS wishes to express its deep gratitude to the authorities and communities of Tangier and Tarifa for their constant support, as well as from all passengers who have borrowed its line during the last quarter of a century.

The other lines operated by the company, notably Algeciras – Vangier Med and Algeciras – Ceuta, will continue to operate normally, thus reaffirming its lasting commitment in favor of maritime connectivity between Morocco and Spain.

DFDS adopts a long -term vision for the development of the region, maintaining a high level of quality of service and by exploring new growth opportunities.
