A 15 -year -old teenager would miss the call after falling on Friday evening in a silo of an old factory known to attract the curious, in Shawinigan, Mauricie.
According to initial information provided by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the teenager and a loved one went to walk on the field in the old Belgo Papers, which runs along Route 153.
At some point, she would have gone to the top of a concrete tower with a metal silo inside. The young victim would have dropped between two walls.
The person accompanying him then went to seek the help of an adult. A first call was finally made to the authorities around 8:30 p.m.
Since then, emergency services do everything in their power to find it. At the end of the evening, they had still not been able to communicate with her.
“Currently, there is an ongoing match plan to access the victim,” said Journal Éloïse Cossette, spokesperson for the SQ. We do not know in what state it is. ”
The former Belgo factory closed in 2008. Since then, it has been reported in the media since it attracted the curious, at their own risk.
“Terrible drama on the terrains of the old Belgo factory,” wrote Frédéric Beaulieu, director of the communications and relations with citizens on Facebook, in the city of Shawinigan.
“My thoughts support emergency services and obviously the family members of this teenager,” he adds.
