The public prosecutor has completed his investigation. Accused of attempted murder, one of the shooters will also have to respond to a crime that occurred in Annemasse in 2019.

The investigation into the shooting between Les Bandidos et Les Hells Angels in Plainpalais in May 2022 was completed. The first prosecutor Olivier Lutz rendered his “notice of next closure” during a hearing held on March 21, learned the “Tribune de Genève”.

This last twist in the instruction concerns the two shooters, a bandidos and a hells, as well as two other bikers present during the episode of shots that occurred three years ago in a plainpalais bar. The first two defendants, authors of the shots, will be tried in particular for attempted murder and endangering the life of others, the other two for brawl.

Criminal court

Another new fact: the Bandidos shooter, also suspected of having published on Facebook threatening to the administrative councilor Marie Barbey Chappuis in 2022will also have to answer a case of stabbing murder in 2019 in Annemasse. This component will in principle be attached to the procedure. The trial will then be held before the criminal court.

In pre -trial detention, after being arrested on December 19 in possession of weapons and drugs at home, this bandidos is also suspected of having threatened the policewhich he accuses of harassment.

Recall that, in the golden ear case, two and a half years ago, the Hells Angels did not want their rivals to settle in Geneva. Several Hells Angels had thus visited the bar in rue de l’École-de-Médecine on the night of May 21 to 22, knowing that bandidos often frequented establishments in this sector. On video surveillance images, we see a shooter from Hells Angels bursting into the Bistrot de Plainpalais.

A Hells files a complaint

During this altercation, he used his firearm twice. The Bandidos shooter also used his pistol. The Hells Angels shooter, whose vest was perforated by a bullet, retaliated, without making any injuries. His “brother”, as they are called in the middle, was however affected by a projectile (in the crotch), drawn by the bandidos currently in pre -trial detention. The injured man, who will be tried for a brawl, was also complained of a complainant.

Note that, during this procedure, the TMC ordered all these protagonists not to frequent themselves during the survey, to avoid risks of collusion, and not to wear their colors, just to calm the game.

But these conditions, imposed by justice on their release, do not seem to have always been respected by the Bandidos, according to a police report on July 30: the shooter was notably checked on June 16 before a bar of Pâquis with another defendant, sporting the colors so much decided by the Rival group. These measures have recently been lifted for defendants.

On the occasion of the notice of next closure rendered at the end of March, the various lawyers had until April 4 to request additional acts of investigation.

Punitive or defense shipping?

According to our information, the defender of the shooter Bandidos asked the prosecutor to clarify a case of bulletproof vest. Namely that the police digs the question of existence, during the searches, of a second bulletproof vest in the shooter Hells. “The interested party who said they had two,” wrote the lawyer in 2024.

According to him, the absence of a second vest would accredit the thesis according to which his rival, which was not injured, had prepared for the shooting by carrying such protection, “the only plausible explanation for the miracle whose defendant is avoided”.

In other words, the Bandidos accuses the shooter Hells of having come armed with a ball by ball as part of a punitive expedition.
