Colobane’s research section has recorded a new advance in the fight against great crime. Two individuals involved in the robbery of a trade in Ouakam, during which 176 million CFA francs were stolen, were arrested in Gambia, according to exclusive information obtained by Seneweb.
The case dates back a few days after another armed robbery aimed at a motorcyclist stripped of 100 million CFA francs. This time, four men, pretending to be customers wishing to change a large sum of money, attracted their victim to an ambush. The robbeist, believing in a legitimate exchange operation, went to the meeting point where he was violently assaulted and relieved of the sum of 176 million CFA francs. The suspects – three Senegalese and a Gambian – would then have abandoned an apartment they rented in Ouakam to flee.
Entering the survey, the Colobane Research Section, renowned for its effectiveness in the treatment of complex criminal affairs, has managed to locate suspects in Gambian territory. With the support of Interpol, the four alleged robbers were arrested. However, only two people, of Senegalese nationality, were given to the Senegalese authorities.
The latter were transferred from the Gambia to Kaolack on the night of Wednesday, before being sent to the Colobane Research section via the Thiès Legion. The investigations continue to challenge the other two gang members.
