Elvation program in Senegal: 26 billion FCFA allocated to 879 women in 2024

Ecobank Senegal is launching an enriched version of its “Elver by Ecobank” program, initially focused on the financing of female SMEs. Now more ambitious and inclusive, it offers financial and non -financial solutions to all Ecobank customer segments. Launched in Senegal in September 2021, Ellever offers reduced rate loans, training and easy access to markets. In partnership with WIC Capital in 2022, a billion FCFA was mobilized. The program experienced significant growth in Senegal, from 529 customers in 2021 to 2037 in 2024, with 26 billion FCFA funding granted to 879 clients and 522 women formed.

Ecobank Senegal reaffirmed its commitment to the economic empowerment of women by launching Wednesday April 30, 2025, in Dakar, the enriched version of its flagship program Ellever. This Pan-African initiative, now strengthened, aims to provide holistic support that is both financial and non-financial to all women entrepreneurs, which they evolve in the informal sector or lead large companies.

We are the first world banking group to have 33 countries of presence in Africa. We have a network that we open to all of these women there to allow them to be able to sell on the whole continent but also to put themselves in partnership with the counterparts of other African countries for trade but also and above all partnerships.

The director of the Development and Supervision Agency for small and medium -sized enterprises in Senegal. (Adepme) praised this initiative by Ecobank Senegal, stressing the importance of uniting the efforts of public and private actors to promote female entrepreneurship.

We congratulate Ecobank for these initiatives which she gradually launches with innovation towards women. At the level of the Adepme, we have precisely to support women the We For Linguère concept which aims to enhance, to bring together all the projects towards women entrepreneurs and ELLAVE will be part of the We for Linguère program.
