Digital transformation ADD Share Moroccan experience in Amman

The Digital Development Agency (ADD) highlighted the Moroccan experience in digital transformation on Wednesday in Amman, on the occasion of the regional congress “to a digitally accessible Arab region – information and communication technologies for all 2025”.

Organized by the Jordanian Authority for Telecommunications Regulation, in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (CESAO) and the International Telecommunications Union (IUT), the event brings together experts and managers of several Arab countries.

Representing the ADD, Safaa El Alaoui, head of the universal digital access service, has exhibited the main axes of Morocco’s digital strategy, focused on improving public services, digital integration of citizens and the promotion of the digital economy. She recalled that this strategy, translated by the ADD roadmap, is part of the “Morocco Digital 2030” vision, launched by the Ministry of Digital Transition and the Reformation of the Administration.

Among the initiatives put forward are the data exchange platform between administrations, Digital LAB for supporting dematerialization projects, and proximity centers “Dar Al Mouwatin”, facilitating access to electronic services for citizens, especially the most vulnerable.

Ms. El Alaoui also quoted “Academia Raqmya”, an awareness and training platform for digital skills, as well as a partnership project with CESAO to develop a roadmap on digital accessibility in Morocco. This initiative aims to encourage administrations to adopt technical standards promoting universal access to online services, especially for people with disabilities.

The congress made it possible to examine the challenges of digital inclusion in the Arab world, emphasizing the role of emerging technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, in the reduction of access inequality. It also constituted an exchange space around innovations, best practices and cooperation opportunities to build a more inclusive digital company.
