The AEW, which has held TV records in New York – of which Grand Slam Dynamite – will be back in this city in a few months.
President Tony Khan made the promise during an interview for two Iheart radio stations.
Khan talks about a maximum delay of 12 months for this return to the “big apple”. He maintains that New York has several quality arenas, with the best fans in the world.
“You better believe we’re going to bring a big AEW pay-per-view back to New York soon and within the year.”
“I am very focused on coming back to New York with great events. There’s a lot of great arenas and venues in the market, but also there’s the best market of wrestling fans in the world, which is all of you.”

Khan added that the next visit to New York will be as part of a PPV, but weekly episodes (dynamite, collision) could also take place.
The AEW also recorded programs at the Hammerstein Ballroom in December, including a Ring of Honor PPV.
