The American group Hunt Oil founded a company in Morocco dedicated to the exploration of underground energy resources

Hunt Oil Company, a historic actor of the Texas oil and gas industry, strengthens its international presence by founding a Moroccan subsidiary, Hunt Oil Company Morocco. This new company, registered under number 287524 in the Rabat trade register, takes the legal form of an Sarlau (limited liability company with single partner).

The registered office of the subsidiary is established at 27, avenue Tansift, in Rabat. Its initial share capital amounts to 100,000 dirhams, divided into 1,000 shares of 100 dirhams each. The management of the company is ensured by an American representative of the parent company, appointed unique manager for an indefinite period.

Hunt Oil Company Morocco displays a wide range of activities, covering all stages of the exploitation of energy resources. According to his statutes, his missions include:

• Studies, prospecting, exploration and exploitation of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons.

• Activities related to transport, storage, processing, marketing of petroleum products.

-

• Technical and industrial services, in particular drilling, engineering and geophysical, geological and seismic studies.

• Management of exploration and research permits, as direct or intermediary holder.

The company also reserves the right to expand its activities to other sectors linked to fossil fuels, subject to the necessary authorizations.

Founded in 1934 in Dallas, Hunt Oil Company is a private family business operating in strategic regions such as Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Its creation in Morocco could mark the start of a new phase of exploration, in partnership with Onhym (National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines).

Although the Official Bulletin does not mention any authorization or exploration contract for the moment, this initiative testifies to the growing interest of international investors for the energy potential of Morocco.

A development to follow closely: with this legal structuring, Hunt Oil Company seems to prepare the field for concrete operations, thus consolidating the strategic position of Morocco in the global energy transition.
