This represents an increase of 28.9% compared to the total volume of exports recorded during the previous agricultural season, according to Eastfruit.
--According to the same source, Morocco exports its tomatoes to Norway throughout the year, especially between November and March. In January alone, Morocco broke the monthly tomato export record to Norway with a volume of 1150 tonnes.
So far, Morocco is the third supplier of Norway in tomatoes behind Spain and the Netherlands. Morocco’s market share has experienced a constant increase in recent years from 6% to 22% 2023.
Meanwhile, the kingdom is looking to increase its fruit exports including mandarins, blueberries and raspberries to the Norwegian market.
