DEAMSAKANE platform failure: concern among beneficiaries and tensions in Tangier

In Tangier, as in other cities, the sudden interruption of the “Daamsakane” platform has sowed confusion and aroused lively dissatisfaction with many citizens, forced to wait to finalize their approaches and access direct housing aid.

Al Akhbar reveals on this subject that some promoters have even terminated several compromises of sale to notaries, thus putting their apartments on the market. A decision which aroused the dissatisfaction of a large fringe of citizens, who counted on direct housing aid to settle the last sections linked to the acquisition of their property.

In addition to people still wishing to submit their files, daily sources point out that applicants who have fulfilled all the conditions required and entered the information requested today, as the sales contracts are approached with the promoters. As long as the platform remains out of service, they may indeed not receive any response within the expected deadlines.

More broadly, Al Akhbar emphasizes that the vagueness surrounding the system, both central and regional, maintains confusion and generates a form of frustration in many citizens, who saw in this aid an essential lever to improve their housing conditions.

Some sources believe that a better technical preparation of the platform would have been necessary, given the social issue of this program, and the financial and contractual commitments which it implies between citizens, property developers and banks.

Among the tracks of solutions mentioned, actors propose to strengthen the reception and support counters within the regional housing services, in order to limit negative impact on this program, which is aimed at all Moroccan families, including Moroccans residing abroad.
