Cement deliveries to Morocco reached 3.38 million tonnes (MT) in the first three months of 2025, up 4.5 % compared to the same period in the past year (3.25 MT), according to data made public Thursday by the Studies and Financial Forecast Department (DEPF), under the Ministry of Economy.
This growth is based on well -identified technical springs: the ready -to -use concrete segment experienced an annual expansion of 18.6 %, while that of prefabricated concrete elements increased by 16.8 %, translating a sustained demand in the industrialized construction sectors.
The cement, an advanced indicator of activity in the building sector, remains a privileged barometer of the evolution of public and private sites. The resumption observed in the first quarter confirms a revival of activity in several sub-sectors, in particular those linked to infrastructure works and collective housing in anticipation of the next international deadlines.
No regional data has yet been provided. The ministry also did not specify whether this trend would be sustainable beyond spring.
