Each summer, thousands of travelers seek to cross the Mediterranean between France and Algeria, especially during the holidays and the trips of the Algerian diaspora in Europe. Summer 2025 will be no exception, with maritime companies offering a variety of prices and services.

The maritime connection between France and Algeria is experiencing record attendance each summer, carried by the Algerian diaspora in France and in other European countries. Four shipping companies are currently sharing this lucrative market: Algeria Ferries, Corsica Linea, Nouris Elbahr Ferries and GNV. Each offers distinct rates and services, with significant variations depending on the travel period and the type of cabin chosen.

Algeria Ferries: the national choice

The Algerian public company remains essential on this line. Its prices start at € 91.44 for a simple go in a wheelchair, while a standard round-trip cabin costs around € 136.88. For a family of four in July 2025, the budget for a Marseille-Algiers crossing can reach € 2056 with vehicle.

Although these prices are not the lowest on the market, Algeria Ferries has a good reputation in terms of reliability. The company offers crossings between France and Algeria until September 28, 2025, with prices which increase significantly during peaks of summer attendance.

Corsica Light: Connect et Fattélisation

Positioned on the high -end, the French maritime company Corsica Linea displays higher prices, with crossings from € 404 in headquarters and € 545 in the cabin. The company is distinguished by its advantageous loyalty program and also serves the ports of Bejaïa and Skikda. Its main asset lies in the quality of service offered on board, justifying prices approximately 20% more expensive than competition for similar services.

If its new ships and its premium service appeal to certain travelers, its prices clearly place it in the high -end segment, inaccessible for the majority of passengers.

GNV: Italian challenger with aggressive prices

The Italian transporter GNV offers the most competitive prices on the market, with crossings from € 91 in a chair, € 208 in a berth and € 245 in the cabin.
