Another week passes and another car manufacturer announces a reminder in connection with reversing cameras.

This time, it is Volvo, the vast majority of recent models of which could suffer from a software problem ensuring that the image is not displayed on the back edge screen, increasing the risks of a collision.

In Canada, 40,673 vehicles must be recalled from the following list:

-

The only models that are not affected are the ex30, ex40/EC40 and ex90 electric.

Volvo will advise owners by post in the coming weeks. These will not necessarily have to move to a dealer to remedy the problem, because the company indicates that the required software update can be done by wireless transmission, directly in the vehicle.

At the end of March, several rechargeable hybrid models of Volvo had been recalled due to a possible defect inside the high-voltage battery so that the battery modules could overheat and undergo a short circuit, even when the vehicle is parked and the contact is cut. The good news is that the number of copies referred to in the country was relatively low, 585.
