Weather | A brief taste of summer in Montreal

A summer air is deposited on the Greater Montreal on Friday, but the time to put away the scarves has not yet come. The fresh wind will come back on Saturday… before giving way to hot weather on Sunday.

The thermometers indicated 22 ° C in the metropolitan region on Friday evening, a gap of seven degrees above the average. “It is a happy competition of circumstances,” explains Marie-Lou Payette, meteorologist at Environment Canada, who attributes this good weather to a mixture of sun and a breath of fresh air from the center of the United States.

However, the temperature will redeposit itself in the seasonal average on Saturday, with a cold front which will lower the mercury to 14 or 15 ° C.

This freshness stroke will however be short-lived: Sunday, Montrealers can expect a maximum of 21 ° C, coupled with a half-naked day, mid-eun.

The sweet weather of Friday extends to Estrie and in the Outaouais valley. Temperatures will approach the seasonal average in Estrie on Saturday, with a maximum of 13 ° C planned. A system from New England will lead to light showers in the afternoon, but the sun will return Sunday, accompanied by temperatures up to 17 ° C.

The same pattern will be observed in Quebec, where a cold front brings mist and clouds on Friday. The weather will however gradually emerge during the weekend, with a maximum of 12 ° C scheduled for Saturday, and 18 ° C on Sunday.
