On April 1, a page turned to the town hall of Lacave. After forty years of service, Marie-José Payrot officially retired, leaving her post as town hall secretary that she had been dedicated since 1985.

Arrived after a few years in the private sector, she took over from Pierre Léonard to the secretariat. At the time, the electoral list was still writing to the typewriter. Since then, she has supported the modernization of the town, with the arrival of IT and the creation of the new town hall, in close collaboration with the mayor André Letrade, in office for 31 years.

Three mayors marked his career: Pierre Régié, who recruited her, André Lestrade, and more recently Stéphane Chambon. The latter praised his professionalism, his sense of public service, his loyalty, his discretion and his taste for a job well done.

“It is an exemplary course at the service of local authorities,” said the current mayor. Over the years, Marie-José has also provided replacements in several neighboring municipalities. It was with emotion that she transmitted the keys to her office to her successor, Charlotte Krinke, who had the opportunity to train by her side for three months.

During a friendly moment, flowers and gifts were given to the new retiree, surrounded by elected officials, municipal agents and former colleagues.

Marie-José wanted to thank all those with whom she has worked over the years. The town of Lacave wishes him a peaceful and well -deserved retirement.
