There are stories that are telling each other, and others that live. Those of Sébastien Sasseville has the ambition to do both! Adventurer, author, endurance athlete and speaker, he transforms his extraordinary expeditions into inspiration.
In May and June, he presented Perspective, an unprecedented immersive conference in Quebec, which literally plunges the spectator into the heart of his greatest challenges: Everest, the Ultramarathon of the Sahara, and many other fields of strong emotions and surpassing.
It’s not just a conference. Nor really a show. Perspective, this is a 360 -degree multisensory experience, deployed on 975 square meters of high performance projections, in the Oasis Immersion space at the Montreal Congress Palace.
The adventure as if you were there
Sébastien Sasseville has a long adventurer CV. He completed several endurance challenges. In 2008, he climbed Everest. Four years later, he finished the Sahara race in Egypt, an ultramarathon of 250 km, carried out in five days and independently. He crossed Canada twice, the first in the race in 2014 between Saint-Jean de Terre-Neuve and Vancouver (7,200 km in 9 months), then, more recently, in 2021, by bicycle in 15 days and 17 hours.

In 2022, he took up the biggest challenge in his sports career by finishing the Across America race: a endurance bicycle race across the United States, from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, over 4,800 km.
Inspire beyond the feat
What animates Sébastien Sasseville, who suffers from type 1 diabetes, the most severe form of the disease is less the conquest of a summit than the interior transformation imposed by the path to go there. Perspective is inspired by this idea: the external experience reflects an inner journey, strewn with doubts and learning, but above all resilience and surpassing oneself.
