Windows 11 unlocks hidden options in a new formidable section

Microsoft continues the deep overhaul of its operating system. After the gradual disappearance of the classic configuration panel, it is the parameters for Muer developers, with a new renowned “Advanced Parameters” interface. This change, more than just a stroke of paint, reveals Microsoft’s desire to make options used in the past hidden only to developers.

A removal of the parameters to release the power of Windows 11

Dislined in Windows Server’s 26404 version by an attentive observer (@phantomofearth on X), the new page “Advanced parameters” does not upset everything, but it properly reorganizes the existing and adds some subtleties. Exit the hermetic name “developer space” well hidden in the system menu: the idea is to make these tools more visible and less intimidating, especially for advanced users who want to go beyond standard settings.

This overhaul comes when Microsoft has just ended the Dev Home application, promising to integrate certain bricks directly into the system. Promise held: In these revisited parameters, there are functions such as activation of long file paths, settings of virtual workspaces, or the integration of the source explorer code – a detail revealing the desire to open the hood of Windows 11 a little more.

The whole is now organized by large sets: taskbar, terminal, file explorer, workspaces, etc. A structure designed to better navigate without having to search blind. Be careful however, this new section is still hidden in the experimental versions (Windows Server BUID 26404) and requires manually activating features. But it should land very soon in the classic Insider canals.
