In its weekly column, the HES-SO Valais-Wallis honors the nursing sector, presented by Anne-Sylvaine Héritier, co-responsible for the training. This professional journey attracts more and more vocations, at a time when the need for caregivers is pressing in Switzerland as elsewhere.

Located in Sion and Viège, the three -year trained sector of nurses holding a Bachelor HES in nursing care, able to quickly integrate the labor market, especially in a context of strong shortage.

Four entrance doors allow access to training:

1. Professional maturity.
2. Specialized health maturity, offered directly by the High School of Health (HEDS), mixing 14 weeks of lessons and 14 weeks of internship.
3. The complementary health modules given over a year at the HEDS, intended in particular for holders of gymnasial maturity.
4. Admission on file, reserved for people aged 25 and over, with a CFC in the health field.

At the end of the training, professional integration is almost guaranteed. The graduates join a sector in tension, where the outlets are numerous throughout the Valais, Swiss, even beyond landscape.
