A rising figure of the Senegalese web, Mame Bousso Ndiaye has granted an exclusive interview to the observer in which she returns to her meteoric ascent and her striking participation in the Panafrican show House of Challenge.
It was first in the shadow of her sister, the famous Tiktokeuse Fatou Ndiaye, that Mame Bousso stood out. His naturalness, sincerity and his humor quickly earned him a large community on social networks, especially on Tiktok.
Contacted by Bovan and Ngaska influencers, she hesitates to join House of Challenge. The fear of the gaze of the Senegalese public brakes it. But the encouragement of his peers and the desire to represent his country prevail.
In this Pan -African reality TV show, every day is a challenge, every minute a vote. “I wore the Flag of Senegal. It was beautiful, but heavy too, ”she says. She evokes the massive support of Senegalese youth, online and on the field, especially during a key moment: the semi-final, where she returns to first place thanks to popular momentum.
“It was like a breath of fresh air, a puff of emotion. »»
But not everything was pink. As the competition progressed, tensions between African communities appeared. “This competition was supposed to unite Africa. But he sowed the division, ”she deplores.
Social networks have amplified these tensions. Despite the calls for calm, the cleavages have hardened, personally affecting Mame Bousso. She, her sister Fatou, and the initiator Bovan tried to calm the spirits, in particular via videos and a song on peace.
Today, Mame Bousso remains lucid but committed. She prepares with her relatives an initiative for peace and African unity, convinced that a better future goes through solidarity between young creators of the continent.
“Africa’s unity must be our priority. And we’re going to do everything to get there. »»
