Pursuant to Regulation No. 14 of the UEMOA, the Malian authorities have decided to ban, since April 1, 2025, the circulation of large -standing carrier trucks and outside the size.

In a press release published this Friday, May 2, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Terrettes and Air Transport informed that an exceptional period of 15 days (from April 29 to May 13) was granted to road transport and users’ actors, following companies.

The transit of vehicles carrying goods will be carried out under customs escort, specifies the note.

However, MITTA stresses that at the end of this period, the circulation of these vehicles will be completely prohibited on the Malian territory.

According to the ministry, “several extraordinary vehicles and out of size, from Senegal, have been immobilized at the borders or in the Malian territory”.

The services of the Ministry of Transport call for players to respect the regulations of partner countries and urge them to take all the necessary measures to avoid any future incident.
