Senegal marked the spirits at the 50th International Geneva Inventions Show by winning ten distinctions, including five gold medals, a success that testifies to the country’s creativity and potential for innovation.
His record at the Inventions Fair (5 gold medals) places Senegal among the most noticed African nations of this edition, with inventions covering strategic fields such as agriculture, energy, health and the environment.
The Senegalese delegation at this event held from April 9 to 13, distinguished itself with a record also made up of a silver medal and four bronze medals, positioning the country among the most efficient on the African continent for this world reference event.
Among the winners is Ms. Nafissatou Diop, distinguished for its machine automating the peeling and extraction of ditax juice, a local fruit with a high content of vitamin C. Its innovation could transform the national food industry, according to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI).
Other gold distinctions have been awarded to Diouma Kobor for an intelligent photovoltaic field dedicated to railway infrastructure, Sheikhou Kane for a technique of treatment of alumina phosphates, Oumar Fall Haïdara for an engine exploiting gravitational and magnetic force, and Adama Kane for a digital payment system intended for the health sector.
In addition to these distinctions, the Senegalese delegation received a congratulating diploma and a trophy from the French Federation of Inventors and the Europe-France association of inventors.
