Mr. Gill had initially won the constituency, located near the city of Mississauga on Monday with 298 additional votes.

The county of Milton-Est-Hallon Hills-South is also in the heart of liberal constituencies, in the south, and conservatives, to the north.

The Liberal Party obtains 169 seats again, after having lost one on Thursday after the victory of the Bloc Québécois in Terrebonne, on the North Shore of Montreal.

He thus recovers the district of Milton-Est-Halton Hills-Sud, which was already liberal before the federal elections last Monday.
