Morocco, a favorite foreign destination for the French this summer

With 38 % of the votes cast by the travel agencies questioned, Morocco takes first place in the classification of summer destinations abroad, according to the last monthly statement of the EDV Observatory (Travel Companies), consulted by Barlamane.com. The kingdom owes this place to its easy air accessibility and its stable climate. Morocco is ahead of Tunisia and Spain by far, which have collected 27 % and 23 % of the vote respectively. This classification – marked predilection of French professionals – was drawn up from declarations of more than 600 points of sale.

Regarding effective departures, the month of April 2025 accuses a slight withdrawal of the number of travelers (–2 % compared to April 2024). However, this drop in volume is largely offset by an increase in value (+7 %), reflecting a generalized revaluation of the products. “The average basket now reaches € 868, up 6 % over a year” – about 9,550 Moroccan dirhams, specifies the document.

Except Europe, Turkey confirms its renewed interest (+6 %). As for the Dominican Republic (+20 %), it pursues an ascending trajectory, without however equaling its level of attendance before-crisis, specifies the barometer.
