The Moroccan government has ratified, by decree n ° 2.24,385 published in Official bulletin n ° 7370 bis, the full transfer of shares held by the Italian company Italgen SARL SARL for the benefit of the Emirati company AMEA Power LLCin the capital of the company Wind energy from Morocco SA.
This decree, duly signed by the Head of Government and countersigned by the Minister of Equipment and Water as well as that of the Economy and Finance, authorizes this movement of foreign capital in accordance with the prescriptions of Dahir n ° 1-58-008 of 4 Chaâbane 1377 (February 24, 1958) bearing the general status of the public service.
The beneficiary company, AMEA Power LLCbased in Dubai, specializes in the development of large -scale renewable energy projects, especially in solar and wind fields. It now becomes the only shareholder of Wind energy from Morocco SAa public limited company with a capital of 6,200,000 dirhams, the object of which is the production of electricity from renewable resources.
No reservation or condition suspensive is mentioned in the published text, which gives this transfer a fully enforceable character. By this transfer, the Moroccan authorities confirm their opening to strategic operators from the Gulf, in a vital sector with national energy balance.
