The morning

The Ministry of Digital Transition and the Reformation of the Administration and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) signed a framework agreement on Friday to strengthen the institutional partnership targeting the development of e-government and the generalization of the use of technical characteristics and secure facilities offered by the digital identity associated with the new generation of the national electronic identity card. This agreement comes in application of the high royal directives aimed at developing the e-government system and promoting the use of modern technologies to facilitate citizens’ access to public services, as is part of the implementation of the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy.

The Ambassador permanent representative of Morocco to the UN, Omar Hilale, explained the royal strategic initiatives in favor of developing countries, including intermediate income countries (PRI), when the ministerial conference on the PRIs held in Manila on April 28 and 29. This event was the occasion for the official award of the presidency of the Group of PRIs in Morocco to the Republic of the Philippines.

The commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco in favor of peace, stability and economic development in the Sahel region was highly praised during a debate at the Royal British Institute for International Studies, better known by the name Chatham House. Intervening during this debate, held under the theme “The response of North Africa to upheavals in the Sahel”, researchers took turns to highlight the importance of diplomacy deployed by Morocco towards the Sahel, a region with which the kingdom is bound by solid historical and human relations.

The money supply (M3 aggregate), quantified at 1,912.5 billion dirhams (MMDH), increased, in annual sliding, by 8% in March 2025, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM). This development is the main result of the acceleration of the growth of net claims on central administration from 7% to 7.5%, official reserve assets from 2.3% to 2.5% and from bank credit to the non -financial sector from 3.5% to 3.9%, explains BAM in its recent monetary statistics report.

The World Bank (BM) has praised the “considerable” progress made by Morocco in recent decades in terms of reducing maternal and infantile mortality rates. In recent decades, the Kingdom has made “considerable progress in reducing maternal, neonatal, and infantile mortality rates, as well as in the improvement of the main health and child health and infant nutrition indicators”, welcomed the international institution in a note.
