Oman’s sultanate supports the territorial integrity of Morocco

The Sultanate of Oman expressed, Sunday, its support for territorial integrity and the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over the whole of its national territory, expressing its deep consideration for the wisdom of Moroccan leadership which attaches to a peaceful solution to the service of security and stability in the Maghreb region.

Qualifying as serious and realistic the initiative of autonomy proposed by the Kingdom of Morocco, the Sultanate of Oman affirmed that it constitutes the basis for the settlement of the question of Moroccan Sahara.

This position was expressed in a joint press release published at the end of the work of the 7th mixed Morocco-Manese commission, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Omani counterpart, Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamoudi.

On the same occasion, Oman’s sultanate welcomed the continuous efforts made by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, president of the Al-Quds Committee, for the defense of the Holy City and the preservation of its status and its civilizational identity.

The Sultanate of Oman also praised the pioneering role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the consolidation of the foundations of peace, security and stability in the African continent, in accordance with the aspirations of its peoples to progress and development.

7th session of the Moroccan-Manese joint commission: signing of several agreements, understanding of agreement and executive programs

The kingdom of Morocco and the Sultanate of Oman signed, Sunday in Mascate, several legal texts intended to strengthen the framework governing the relations of cooperation between the two countries. These are:

– A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Transport and Logistics of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Omani Ministry of Transport relating to the recognition of certificates issued in accordance with the provisions of the 1978 international convention on the training standards for seafarers, patent and watch (STCW), as well as its amendments.

-A memorandum of understanding in the field of renewable energies between the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Ministry of Energies and Mines of the Sultanate of Oman.

-A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of National Education, preschool and sports of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Sultanate of Oman in the field of sport and school sport.

-A memorandum of understanding in the field of digitalization and the exchange of expertise between the Ministry of Justice of Morocco and the Supreme Court of the Sultanate of Oman.

-A memorandum of understanding relating to twinning between the city of Fez and the city of Nizwa in the Sultanate of Oman.

At the end of the work of this session, the two countries expressed their satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations and their positive evolution, in consecration of the political will and the high enlightened orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his brother the sultan of Oman His Majesty Haitham Ben Tariq, which God preserves them, which ensure to hoist these relations at higher levels and to wider horizons, capable of infusing them a strong dynamic in line with the aspirations of the two leaders and of the two brothers.
