Health insurance organized a morning of prevention of colon cancer at the pharmacy, led by Justine Casamitjana and Benjamin Schlouch. Isabelle Debus, head of the prevention service at the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM) 66, and Émilie Dabadie Dout, prevention manager, did not have a moment of rest as the participation was strong with several dozen people. “Since the start of Operation Pharma Tour, we have never experienced such a crowd in a pharmacy.” Isabelle Debus, who is more is Bagéenne, explains her satisfaction because in the town about 820 eligible people (out of 1,200) for obtaining a screening kit had not yet taken this step after several reminders in recent years. The two women carried out a sampling demonstration on stool (simulated by plasticine) on toilets in order to play down this easy to use test. They also answered many questions about cancers and were also able to advise the prevention examinations of two other female cancers: that of the breast and that of the cervix.
For their part, the two pharmacists, with their team, ensured the presentation of the screening kits. They are available to people eligible for the test that could not come to recover a free from the pharmacy.
