The mobile mammography unit crosses five Gers municipalities from May 19 to 23, 2025 to offer free breast cancer screening to women aged 50 to 74.
The Gers department will again host the mammobile from Monday 19 to Friday 23 May 2025. This mobile breast cancer screening unit will stop in five municipalities to allow women aged 50 to 74, having not carried out an exam for two years, to benefit from a free mammography.

The “Mammobile” project is part of a public health policy, carried by the Departmental Health Center of Gers and supported by several institutional partners, including the Regional Health Agency Occitanie, the Primary Health Insurance Fund, MSA, Mutualité Française, the Cancer League and the Regional Centers for Coordination of Cancers.

Since the launch of the campaign in November 2024, 750 exams have been carried out. Building on this success, the Departmental Council has renewed its commitment by renewing the partnership with the Association Ariège Prévention Mobile for the period 2025-2030. The mobile unit will circulate from March to July, then from September to December each year.
The appointments will take place at the following times:
-Monday May 19 in Vic-Fezensac, multipurpose room-Urban Park: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. / 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
-Tuesday May 20 in Cazaubon, Place de l’Armagnac-Barbotan-les-Thermes: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. / 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
-Wednesday May 21 in Villecomtal-sur-Arros, parking in the village hall: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. / 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
– Thursday May 22 in Lombez, gendarmerie parking lot – Route de Toulouse: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. / 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
– Friday May 23 in Gimont, 23 boulevard du Nord – Parvis Salle Dubarry: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. / 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
During the visit, each patient will benefit from a mammography followed by breast palpation, in optimal confidentiality and safety conditions.
