On the occasion of European vaccination week, the international vaccination center deployed stands in several districts to inform, raise awareness and allow Marseillais to access vaccination more easily.

From April 27 to May 3, as part of European Vaccination Week, the International Vaccinations Center in the City of Marseille, in partnership with the Corhesan association and the community of health professionals for 2ᵉ and 3ᵉ districts, organized a series of prevention actions. Objective: go to the residents and facilitate access to vaccination for all.

On Wednesday, April 30, a stand settled in the Porte d’Aix park in the 3ᵉ arrondissement. On site, doctors, health mediators and volunteers welcomed residents without appointments for exchanges around their vaccination coverage and, if necessary, injections offered on site.

Prevent, accompany, vaccinate

The Corhesan association, partner of the operation, played a key role in this proximity approach. “” We approach the health review, nutrition, therapeutic education. And for people without open rights, we make an appointment to help them get a vital card or state medical aid “Explains Youssef Hamouche, volunteer.

In addition to these exchanges, medical consultations have made it possible to take stock of the vaccines. An essential step according to Pascal Chaud, retired doctor: ” The tetanus vaccine, diphtheria and polio requires a reminder of 25, 45 and 65 years. People forget, and doctors don’t always have time to think about it. »

Three meetings were offered to the public during the week: Tuesday April 29 at the Stock Exchange center in the morning, then at the National Metro in the afternoon, and finally on Wednesday April 30 at the Porte d’Aix park. These meeting times, without prior registration, have enabled many Marseillais to consult a doctor, check their vaccination status and discuss their overall health.

In parallel with these field actions, the international vaccinations center pursues its missions all year round in its premises located rue Fontaine d’Arménie (1ᵉʳ district). By appointment via Doctolib, the Marseillais can benefit from a free consultation to assess their vaccination status, access the vaccines of the calendar in force or even be vaccinated at a lower cost for a trip abroad.

« Our goal is clear: to protect Marseillais from serious infectious diseases and allow them healthy mobility, all over the world. The Center also has a social vocation, since it vaccinates primary arrivals and intervenes in priority districts “Recalls Michèle Rubirola, first deputy mayor of Marseille in charge of public health.
