Marie-Paule Pigière, contemporary painter, lives and works in Sainte-Croix-de-Quinillangues. She has painted and has been exhibiting for many years. This will again be the case of Tuesday April 15 to Saturday May 3.

To the series Horizons raised images that she did not know to wear. She lets herself be guided by the assembly of large horizontal streaks. It does not paint a jet: rest times allow it to mature and the final table rarely resembles the primary vision that had inspired it. Large formats, linen supports and oil dough ennobate the vast landscapes, very gently and fluidity.

The series Fragmentsit is the fruit of an elaborate research which leaves the surprise of its spontaneous touch to chance. On small formats of canvas, wood or paper, she works together non -miscible solutes. The colors attract or repel according to an alchemy that must be learned to master and a geometry which is their own. To obtain the image that meets his expectations, it will have been necessary to channel his primary curiosity with long learning of the material. Then, it will tear, cut, assemble the fragments in order to highlight the detail revealed around which it structures the whole.
