McLaren continues to dictate their law. Already the winner of four of the five Grand Prix has run since the start of the season, the British stable has taken hold of the Miami sprint (United States) on Saturday May 3. After an end of race marked by several clashes, it was the British Lando Norris who crossed the line first, behind the security car, and in front of his Australian teammate Oscar Piastri.

Long at the top of the race, the Australian must be satisfied with second place, but retains the head of the general classification of the pilots. Lando Norris offers him his second victory this season, after that on the inaugural Grand Prix in Australia. Behind the two McLaren, Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) took advantage of the events to surprise Max Verstappen (Red Bull) just before entering the safety car, three laps from the finish. The Briton thus restored Ferrari a smile, while Charles Leclerc had to declare before departure, after having gone to the fault during the heating towers.

Another disillusionment of the day: that experienced by Mercedes. Starting in fifth position, George Russell could not do better than sixth. But, above all, Kimi Antonelli did not confirm. Younger pilot to start in the first position of a Formula 1 race, from the age of 18, the Italian was picked up from the second departure of this Sprint race, delayed by twenty-five minutes by the rain.

Overwhelmed by Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, Kimi Antonelli finished 10th in this sprint race. On the French side, Pierre Gasly crossed the line in 11th position, ahead of Isack Hadjar (13th) and Esteban Ocon (14th). Note that Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Carlos Sainz (Williams) did not finish the race, while Max Verstappen finished 16th, sanctioned with a penalty of ten seconds after a hanging in the stands.
