A 22 -year -old was killed by drowning in a pond

At 3:30 a.m. on the night of Friday May 2 au Saturday May 3 2025the firefighters intervened to recover a young man who drowned in a water point at a place called the presbytery to Guignen (Ille-et-Vilaine).

The firefighters of SDIS 35 were called around 3:15 a.m. to rescue a 22-year-old young man who drowned in a pond, at a place called the presbytery to Guignenafter having gone to bathe.

“It was during an alcoholic evening, there were 4 friends and one of them undressed to go to a dive. His friends lost sight of it later and called for help, “said the Redon gendarmes.

Upon their arrival a team of divers from SDIS 35 drafted the young man who was from Guignen.

An investigation is open

When it came out of the water, it was In cardiopulmonary arrest. Despite the attempted resuscitation carried out by a SMUR team, the victim was dead by the doctor.

A survey was opened by the Rennes prosecutor’s office in order to audition people present during the drama. An autopsy is underway.
