US President Donald Trump has dismissed “no possibility” about the use of military force to seize Greenland, insisting on the need to acquire this territory for the benefit of national security, in an interview on the antenna of NBC News.

“I’m not saying I’m going to do it, but I don’t exclude any possibility,” he told the American channel.

The desire for the 47th American president to annex Greenland raised questions on the security of the semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, while the United States, Russia and China all covet the Arctic.
