800 runners in the streets of Sherbrooke to encourage young people to persevere at school

The school career of several young and secondary young people is strewn with pitfalls. To encourage them to persevere, the Foundation for students of the School Service Center of the Region-de-Sherbrooke Room held its annual relay race on Friday, which gathered 800 athletes on Saturday.

For some students in difficulty, going to school is a bit like jogging, according to volunteer Noémie Roy, met near the Triolet high school, in Sherbrooke, where the start and arrival line of the activity was located.

Two scholarships of $ 500 were drawn among the teams for the realization of a project at school, for example for the purchase of books at the library or external game modules.
