Have you ever heard of Neurasthenia? According to Larousse, it is “a state of extreme physical and mental tiredness”.
In everyday language: you are emptied.
François Legault and his government seem to be immersed in this state.
It has the arrogance of the Prime Minister. It is felt in the momentum this government has lost. It shows through the breakdown of ideas and solutions to our problems.
And nothing embodies this fatigue better than the case of the Maisonneuve-Rosemont hospital (HMR).
HMR
Small reminder: HMR is one of the biggest hospitals in Quebec. It serves 500,000 people from eastern Montreal, who historically have always been disadvantaged compared to wealthy wealthy.
A comparison? This is the equivalent of what the regions of Abitibi, Mauricie and the Côte-Nord serve … combined.
This hospital falls into ruins. It is not a figure of style.
Ringing around the building. Water infiltration. Molds. Squirrels that walk. Birds inside. Insects in a dentures. Almost a natural park.
Already in 2016, an investigation into the obsolescence of hospitals attributed the worst note to the HMR.
Tuesday evening, thunderstorms struck Montreal.
The only major building affected by breakdowns? HMR, of course. Windows broke out and injured staff. Current failures occurred in operating blocks and intensive care. The rescue generators, too old, did not work.
The day after? Damage everywhere. I quote journalist Julie Marcoux: “Now that he is raining in a waiting room”. We are there. Bush hospital or third world, choose your qualitative.
Duplessism Modern
Christian Dubé, Minister of Health, announced his reconstruction in 2023. “This time, it’s the right one”, after years of back and forth.
Well, no. We spent too much in the government. Caqastrophe: the HMR boils.
The hospital is sentenced … for assumed political reasons.
It is not me who says it, it is the PM itself.
Questioned by the PLQ on this subject, our PM replied that if the Liberals speak about it, it is because they have “over -representation in Montreal”. Because, understand, the “CAQ is a party of the regions”.
In the spirit of our PM, therefore, we build hospitals, roads, schools, houses of seniors, public transport, thinking first of all where its party performed well.
If you are a patient in eastern Montreal: vote on the right side. Your Prime Minister is first of all the Prime Minister of Cquates.
The electoral card dictates the map of public investments. Duplessis is dead, long live duplessis!
From 3e Link to the HMR, we build infrastructure not according to the needs, the state of these and a vision of Quebec, but according to stupidly electoral considerations.
Legault
Where is the PM Legault going? One day, he opens the checkbook to which better. Northvolt, Varennes carbon recycling, tax cuts, pre -electoral checks, go Go, claim your due.
Another day, here he is austere and rigid.
By navigating without CAP, it is no longer just the HMR that falls into ruins, it is its own government.
