The cheese dairy lashes three medals at Sial Canada prices


Compton. The products of the cheese dairy The Station were rewarded three times during the International Competition of Cheese Sial Canada, which was held in recent days (April 29 to May 1), in Toronto.

First, the Hatley path was crowned “Best Farm Forming in Quebec”. The Comtomme was called “Best washed crust cheese”. Rarely awarded, the Compton raclette has risen in a category specific to its identity, that of “best raclette cheese”.

The co-owner of the La Station cheese dairy, Simon-Pierre Bolduc, is delighted with this triple obtained during this international meeting. “Three medals represents a very nice harvest,” he says. We are really very happy with this result. It is a threesome for teams that work very hard in making our products. We measure ourselves in front of high -quality cheeses that come from Quebec, Canada and the rest of the world. It is also comforting to know that we do things on our side. »»

A few months before the summer season, the managers of the Compton agrifood business are preparing to welcome visitors. These will be able to taste new products, especially with the return of soft pasta cheeses. “We have completed our team of cheese makers, which allows us to offer them. They will be available in July, ”notes Mr. Bolduc.

Investments will also be made with the purchase of new equipment.

To return to the international Sial Canada cheese competition, more than 200 products from eight countries have contributed in 28 categories.
