A reader testifies that her companion, returning to their home, spotted the individual rummaging through the dumpster of their building. “When he challenged it, the man had already opened a poubelle bag and extracted a sachet containing the layers. He went by bike, making a sign of the hand, ”says the mother.
Parents are deeply shocked: “the idea that someone can spy on our children anxiously anxious us”, they underline. They fear that the thief suffers from a fetishism linked to the baby and committed pedophile acts. Suddenly, they placed posters in the neighborhood to describe the individual and encourage the neighbors to report any suspicious behavior to the police.
A fetishism for culottes exist? Yes, confirms the psychiatrist Thomas Knecht, and it is not as rare as we might think, according to him. “But it is little discussed, because the people concerned often feel an extreme shame.”
The question of whether such behavior is a danger to children is not clear. “Someone who finds exciting baby diapers probably also has an attraction to children,” said the shrink. But that does not necessarily mean that he will one day commit sexual abuse. “This flight can be a first step. But there are also people who consult pedocriminal content without ever taking action, ”he adds.
