SNCF strike: RER B, RER C, Transilien… disruptions to be expected from Monday, May 5 in Île-de-France

Detailed forecasts will be revealed on Sunday afternoon. But some difficulties are already known for Monday May 5, the first day of a week of strike planned by the SNCF on the occasion of the May 8 bridge. And in Île -de -France -as elsewhere -traffic may be disrupted throughout the week.

Nothing illogical to this: Transilians depend on the public rail enterprise, just like the RER – some of which (A and B) are also partially managed by the RATP.

The RER B X account warned on Friday that “disturbances” should be expected from the start of the week, without being able to give details.

The Transilian line H of the Transilien also announces a traffic “slightly disturbed” from Monday, while specifying that the schedules of the trains circulating that day will only be known the day before.

A crescendo climb

The N and U lines also evoke a “disturbed traffic” from the start of the week, as is line V, whose X account also quotes possible difficulties on the RER C.

The CGT-Cheminots, the first union organization at the SNCF, calls for controllers and drivers to go on strike on Monday. The union requests a revaluation of the work premium as well as overhaul of the organization of schedules, too often modified at the last minute according to it.

So, next week, the TGVs of the Paris-Lyon-Marseille line are likely to be particularly affected by the strike. On the TER side, some Norman lines will also experience disturbances on Monday, just like those in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, has already warned the SNCF.

For the first day of mobilization, Sud-Rail asks, for its part, from commercial agents (whose absence has no impact on the circulation of trains) to mobilize, either the agents who answer on the phone or who welcome users in the store.
