Since the robotic console of Center International D’Ocology by Casablanca (Cioc)Dr. Ouzzane piloted the intervention remotely on a patient supported in the operating room of the Laâyoune International Polyclinic (Pil). Thanks to advanced technological investments, the operation was carried out under optimal security and precision conditions. The 52 -year -old patient is doing well and will be able to leave the clinic in a very short time.
To make this feat possible, Akdital Equipped the two latest generation surgical robots sites, offering practitioners an increased dexterity and amplitude of motion. In parallel, the group’s information systems department has deployed high availability digital architecture, ensuring a response time of only 20 milliseconds. Technology SD-WAN Was used with two redundant connections – optical fiber and herstzian beam – guaranteeing flawless continuity of service.
In the Laâyoune operating room, the local medical team – composed of Dr Younes Tibari, Pr Adil Mellouki, Dr Khalid Azizi (in charge of anesthesia), and a paramedical staff experienced under the coordination of Ms. Siham Bouhtouri, director of care – was mobilized to ensure patient safety and intervene in the event of a need.
“Our patient is doing well, and that’s what matters above all. I am particularly proud to have carried out this first in Morocco. That a doctor in Casablanca could operate his patient in Laâyoune was, not so long ago, unimaginable. Today, it has become a reality ”said the Dr Adil ouzzanealso president of the Moroccan Robotic Surgery Society (MSRS).
For his part, Dr. Rocdi TalibCEO of the Akdital group, welcomed this advance: “I always dreamed that my Moroccan fellow citizens, even in the most distant areas, can benefit from the skills of our experts installed in big cities. Today we have done it, and we are proud of it. »»
