The Pronet cleaning company is liquidated due to cessation of payments. Since April 30, around fifty employees have been on the tile, and in search of solutions.

The Company Le Profession du Cleaning, better known by its trade name by Pronet, was liquidated on January 30, with a period of continuation of activities until April 30. A decision taken by the Mixed Commercial Court of Pointe-à-Pitre. In activity for 35 years in Guadeloupe, the company has been in cessation of payments since September 25.

In a press release, the cleaning sector of the General Union of Guadeloupe workers (UGTG) claims to have learned the liquidation of this company with amazement. The UGTG denounces uncertainty for 53 employees and requires a solution. A situation that Rudy Salibur, the UGTG cleaning sector manager, finds “inadmissible” because some employees have been working “within the company for over 30 years”.

Of the 90 employees, 53 will surely be dismissed. We cannot accept this. This is why we decided to organize ourselves to defend our rights and our interests in this sector.

The union center requires a meeting with the authorities to find a solution as quickly as possible.

We have sent a letter to the prefect and the competent authorities to meet and negotiate. We cannot accept that mothers or fathers find themselves on the street in a territory where more than 30% of the inhabitants are unemployed. Too much is too much. You can’t let this pass.
