Two residents of the Montérégie won the jackpot of 6/49 on the same day on April 16.
Albert Rainville obtained the jackpot after buying his ticket in a proxy convenience store in Saint-Hyacinthe, Loto-Québec said on Thursday.
By paying for its full gasoline, the retiree from the construction said in a joke to the cashier that he “would take a check for $ 5,000,000”. The latter announced to him later that he did win the lottery.
“My eyes have flowed a little,” he said. He celebrated his fortune with his wife and children.

For his part, Bernard Dupuis bought a ticket each month for the prints of the Lotto 6/49. So he never realized that he had the winning ticket … since March 22! He bought this famous ticket in a pharmaprix in Longueuil.
The retiree from the Imprimerie Domaine discovered the happy news with his spouse on April 16, on the same date as Albert Rainville.

Mr. Rainville also intends to realize his dream of buying a van and keeping his promise to donate to an organization that helps women victims of violence.
