Several dozen business leaders were gathered last week at the Drop. Not to speak rugby, but to attend the round table organized by the Gard antenna of Medef, the first employers’ union in France. Eight stakeholders, each specialized in their field, were gathered to tackle the subject of companies in difficulty via Two themes: “Detection and anticipation of future winds” and “actions and reactions when the storm cannot be avoided”.

The objective was to play down the subject of companies in difficulty, a situation often encountered during a career as a business manager. Situation which sometimes makes it possible to grow and evolve the skills of the entrepreneur in a positive way, provided you do not remain isolated, to anticipate and to be accompanied by dedicated organizations and institutions. “The call to a friend cannot be sufficient”

“I do not have half of the skills of the speakers or their specialty. Like you, at the head of a business or an activity, I found myself in my office asking myself what I had to do, what a friend I could call or which device existed. The role of a union is to give you the keys, the right numbers, identify the right people where the call to a friend cannot be sufficient”says Steeve Calligaro, president of Medef Gard, who was keen to tackle this problem of steering businesses in an uncertain context.
