Today, Saturday, the well -known Saudi preacher, Saad Al -Braik, died at the age of 63, while his body will be funeral in the capital, Riyadh, on Sunday afternoon.

Saudi advocates, Sheikh Al -Braik, who holds a doctorate from the Higher Institute for the Judiciary, and a master’s degree in comparative jurisprudence.

The late is considered one of the most prominent advocates of the “Awakening” stage in the eighties and 1990s, and he held positions, including an adviser and vice -chairman of the Supreme Committee at the Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd Office for Research and Studies. He was also a member of the Supreme Education Committee chaired by Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and a member of the sub -committee emanating from Sheikh Abdullah Al -Mutlaq.

Al -Braik also participated in a team advocating prisoners whom the government accuses of carrying “terrorist thought”.

In 2017, Saad Al -Braik was briefly arrested because of his demand for the release of the preacher Issam Al -Owaid, who was arrested for charges related to the support and financing of terrorism, knowing that Al -Owaid has been serving since that time a 27 -year prison sentence.

Al -Braik wrote at the time: “I have not seen in my life two accusations that the loyal people in this country have been ranked in the classification of the accountant in the denial of the evil in the Akhunjah and the nesth, without evidence.”

Among the prominent stations in the life of Al -Braik, he was subjected to a severe attack by the late Saudi prince Mamdouh bin Abdulaziz, the half -brother of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, when the late prince (he died in 2023) accused Sheikh Al -Braik of being from the “Brotherhood” and inciting the revolutions, which the latter denied.
