Thick black smoke was visible at the end of the morning of this Sunday, May 4, on the side of the city center of Saint-Denis. A fire broke out around 10 a.m. in the building of a six -story private residence.
The fire would have taken in the apartment of a person who lives alone, an elderly woman according to residents. The origin of the fire remains unknown for the moment, it could be a candle. The flames were able to be mastered by the Dionysian firefighters, reinforced by colleagues from the East.
Several emergency vehicles were quickly sent on site to evacuate the occupants of the building and the extinction of fire. Firefighters, SMUR and CHU staff are on site.
About fifteen people have been evacuated, many of whom are elderly. Difficult evacuation, since the elevators were blocked. Some residents had to be evacuated by the nacelle of the firefighters.
