The release date for season 3 of The War Within
For the moment, Blizzard has not communicated any specific date as to the release of season 3 of The War Within. All that is officially available is the roadmap presented at the start of the year (see below) which indicated at the time, an exit from the S3 during the summer of 2025.

Our estimate as to the release date of season 3 is around the Wednesday August 20. Potentially, the 11.2.0 patch could be released between early August and mid September in order to respect the average duration of the seasons on Wow. It would not be surprised that the legendary release in early September in order to facilitate the trips of professional guilds outside school holiday periods in the West.
Note that we had properly anticipated the release date of the S2 of TWW (a week before) as well as the previous season of Dragonflight.
What we officially know:
- The new season is to be released during the summer of 2025 (summer last from June 21 to September 22)
- Patch 11.1.5 is deployed in several parts until the end of May and a patch 11.1.7 is already in preparation on the PTR
- Blizzard wants to maintain a pace of a season every 6 months
- The new Midnight extension must be officially presented at the end of summer (potentially a link with the S3 raid kinematics)
- La Roadmap evokes WOW birthday during the Patch 11.2.5 knowing that the birthday generally takes place between the second and third week of October
How do we get to our estimate on Wednesday August 20?
- It will be about 6 months that season 2 was released (March 5 in Europe)
- The S1 lasted 26 weeks, an approximately so long S2 should therefore last until August or even September (the seasons of Dragonflight had significantly the same duration at a few weeks old)
- A mid-August outing allows an RWF of about 2-3 weeks, then allowing to announce Midnight by taking advantage of the craze for the race
- The Wow birthday being announced for the Patch 11.2.5, an release of season 3 on August 20 would allow the patch exactly 2 months after the release of the S3
- This allows you to have a season 3 of around 6 months and therefore to offer a prepatch in the first quarter of 2026 and an exit from Midnight around this period (if there is no S4 as planned)
- The Housing on Wow is planned to land during the winter on the Blizzard roadmap, potentially on the last patch of the season
