In Geneva, the Night of the Museums will take place on May 17 at 6:00 p.m. in 30 cultural and scientific institutions. The demonstration under the theme of tales and legends will offer nearly 140 activities for all audiences.

In terms of novelties, two institutions will participate for the first time in the night of museums, on the occasion of the 100 years of quantum physics: the portal of the science of CERN, a high place of experimentation in particles physics and the physics section of the University of Geneva. It will be possible to experience quantum phenomena and familiarize yourself with science.

In full metamorphosis, the Museum of Natural History will offer activities in other accomplices places: the Library of Geneva, the City Library and the Museum of History of Sciences, lists the city of Geneva in its press release.

Throughout the duration of the renovation of the Contemporary Art Building (BAC), the Geneva photography center, which deposited its trunks at the Geneva Library, also participated in the event. The places will welcome Marie-Thérèse Pochet, who, out of her Vaudois lands, will animate a quiz on the history of the city of Calvin.

The Geneva museum of comics which will see the light of day in a few years at Villa Sarasin in Grand-Saconnex will open its doors exclusively for this Night of Museums. The future temple of the 9th Art will offer, among other things, a meeting with artists. He will close at midnight for renovation work which will last until its opening to the public by 2027.

The archives of the city of Geneva will offer an exciting dive in the local history of Geneva from the 19th century to today. A guided tour will trace the daily life of past centuries and its transformations.
