Saturday, April 26, at 4:15 am, the attention of a police patrol went to a scooter and its two occupants in Romont (FR). Despite the warning signals, the driver fled, committing several traffic offenses. Police were able to arrest the scooter in Vuisternens-Devant-Romont and challenge the two 17-year-old men.
During their excavation, a doe foot and a large quantity of doubtful currency were notably discovered. The police placed them in provisional arrest. The two minors, domiciled in the region, are suspected of having committed, since the beginning of February 2025, more than a dozen burglaries, mainly in restaurants, in the canton of Friborg (Villaz-St-Pierre, Bulle, Postagy, Posat, Rossens, Corpatals, Farvagny-le-Grand, Posieux, Screws, Neyruz).
During their hearing, they admitted all the offenses. The damage is estimated at more than 15,000 francs in cash and the damage caused to several thousand francs. The police were able to recover and restore part of the booty to the lesses. The two young people will have to answer for their acts before the competent minors’ judge.
